Recce/Contingency Plan

Location
Potential risk to production
What would be affected?
Plan
Epping forest
-          On location team member(s) could catch an illness.
-          A member of the team could fall over and cause an injury.
-          Issues with lighting
-          Issues with weather
-          The number of people in the area
-          No source of electricity

-          If a member of the team got an illness or was injured. This would affect work flow and shooting.
-          Issues with lighting will effect post production and the atmosphere intended for the shot
-          Issues with weather will affect the shooting schedule
-          Number of people will also affect the shooting schedule, aswell as the work flow.
-          If a member of the team were to get ill or injured. We would use solutions such as makeup, change shots depending on injury and find a temporary replacement for a crew member. However if the illness or injury is too severe. Then we’d have to reschedule shooting.
-          If lighting was affected then we’d find a more appropriate time in the day to get the right lighting. Prior, to going out to shoot, a member of the crew would check the weather to see if it would be appropriate for shooting. However, on location if there was a change in weather. Then we’d apply necessary protection for equipment. If the weather conditions were severe, then we’d pack up and leave location immediately
-          If too many people would interrupt while shooting, then we’d use a tape a form of barrier.

School theatre/ Drama pod
-          Students could interrupt while shooting
-          Cables
-          Fire alarm could be set off

-          Students interrupting would affect work flow and shooting.
-          Cables could interrupt shooting as a cast member could trip on the cables. This would interrupt shooting.
-          A fire alarm being set off will interrupt the shooting.
-          A sign would be placed at the entrance, specifying not to disturb as recording is happening.
-          Cables would be placed in a secure place.
-          If the fire alarm is set off, then the cast members are to leave the set. However, the crew are to collect all recoding equipment, then leave location.
Tunnel
-          A person could come into the shot

-          This would interrupt the shot being taken and would have to be shot again
-          We would plan a time that would be appropriate for the shot yet at a time where the location wouldn’t be busy
Road
-          A car or a person could come into the shot

-          This would interrupt the shot being taken and would have to be shot again
-          We would plan a time that would be appropriate for the shot yet at a time where the location wouldn’t be busy
Station
-          A person could come into the shot
-          This would interrupt the shot being taken and would have to be shot again
-          We would plan a time that would be appropriate for the shot yet at a time where the location wouldn’t be busy
Bench
-          The bench was occupied
-          This would slow down shooting time
-          We would find a time that would be appropriate for the shot and is a time where the location won’t be busy. If still the bench is occupied, we would ask kindly if we could use the bench for our Media Studies project
